About Us

Hello, thanks for stopping by my page designed to help you find the best graphic tablet for your creative endeavors. My name is Leroy Whitaker and I run the site here.

I’m an illustrator by talent and a graphic designer by trade. I’ve been drawing as long as I can remember and my proudest moment was when I finished a 30 something page 11 X 17 inch comic book back in the late 90’s during summer break. I wore out Prismacolor markers, ink pens, fountain pens and coloring pencils. As you can imagine, it was a hefty amount of work. If, at the time, I was able to find or build an affordable computer and purchase a graphics tablet then I would’ve probably saved far more time once I learned how to use it.

This, The Best Graphics Tablets is a place in which I compile various reviews into one objective overview. I do not lean towards any bias of any particular brand which is why you will see pros and cons from all tablets as I research and pool together resources. If there is a graphics tablet I have personally used then I will let you know, otherwise all reviews are a compilation of information and experiences all over the internet compiled in one place. If you have experience with a particular tablet and would like to contribute…please, by all means, leave a comment.

If you feel my reviews have aided you in anyway and you want to do more than leave feedback, then feel free to click on any of the ads to assist me with cost as well as income. These ads do nothing extra to hurt you, and if they do please let me know and I can block them. Nevertheless, as you read in the Privacy Policy the advertisements are based on  your search history as well as keywords here. If you are looking to purchase a tablet or anything in particular then feel free to click on any of our affiliate links in order to make your purchase there.  Again, this costs you nothing extra and I am given a percentage of the sell from my affiliates, nothing more, nothing less.

I hope my site will assist you in your graphic tablet research.

Thank you,
Leroy Whitaker

  1. I have an eight year old niece who shows signs of a budding artist. To encourage her interest in art work I was thinking of getting her a low cost self-contained art tablet. I am thinking of some electronic device that she can draw on and save images to that device without connecting to another computer or a monitor. Does such exist and how do I find them. Thanks

    • Gary,

I apologize for the delayed reply. My suggestion would be to look into either Android tablets or iPads. You can skim Android tablets here: http://amzn.to/2l3OQK9 and iPad: http://amzn.to/2l3WGmY. Most of my experience is with Android tablets which is basically the operating system of the tablet as opposed to iPad. My children ages ranging from 14 – 8 all utilize their tablets for a variety of things including artwork. My daughter recently put together an illustration in an app she just told me about called Pixlir but you can also find other drawing apps. So far we have experience with a range of Android brands running from Amazon’s Fire brand to RCA. You can find a lot of affordable Android tablets, but to be completely transparent you can find a great deal of them that can die on you after a few months of heavy use. So sometimes it’s really hit or miss. I can say for my elder daughters they have had their RCA tablets for going on 2 years now although initially there was a problem with one of the power buttons, but thankfully I managed to fix it. Our youngest two, unfortunately around the same age as your niece, went through the most tablets. At the moment, and I can’t recall their brands, both my youngest daughter and my son are on their third tablet. Due to their age, we tend to try not to get anything over $50.00 for them.

      Hope this helps,
      ROy

    • According to a seller, it should be compatible with Mountain Lion. Again, this is according to a seller I asked. I have not verified this myself.
